New Works in wood

Here are three new peices in wood. They are models that can be scaled up and done in metal. I have decided to do some new works on a small and manageable scale that can represent larger sculptures. Making large ones right off-the- bat leaves me open to suprises that I couldn't see in the design phase and it also is alot easier on my back to move around small wooden models!

The models are for sale. Write me for prices. Also I can build stands for the non-wall mount ones...

The first two photos are of a pieces called Aero- it is 3 feet long and made of birch
The second is called Approach- it is 22 inches on its longest side- birch
The third is "Tell Me something" It is 22 inches wide- Birch

New projects

With the arrival of warmer weather I have started a new photography project. As I haven’t used photography in my creative work other than photographing my sculpture, I don't know how this will manifest itself. I am very drawn to this project and it has been in the back of my mind for years. Hear are a few sample shots. They are taken in a swimming pool using scale models. I hope to get out into some local streams here in the next few months if I can handle the always cold, cold water.

I hope to refine the idea and technique over the summer.I would like to come up with a body of work that I will print on canvas. For now I am still trying to figure out what it is about.

I would like some feedback about it- if you have time or opinions please let me know.

Vessel for Calm Water

This is a series that I have been working on for a few months. This will be a series of 5.  One as an artist proof and four are for sale. The piece is made of powder coated steel and is 53" high x 34"wide x 24"deep. I have made one in purple, one in red, and two in metalic silver.

Obelisks

I have done a series of Obelisks with Airliners as a theme. These are three sided and are 7 feet high. They can be placed inside or out.  They are steel with a durable powder coating.

Some New Work

Here is a piece that I have been working most recently. It is made of 1/8th inch steel plate and is rather heavy. It is 38 inches high and 32 wide. The name of it is "4spheres of influence".
