Vessel for Calm Water

This is a series that I have been working on for a few months. This will be a series of 5.  One as an artist proof and four are for sale. The piece is made of powder coated steel and is 53" high x 34"wide x 24"deep. I have made one in purple, one in red, and two in metalic silver.

Obelisks

I have done a series of Obelisks with Airliners as a theme. These are three sided and are 7 feet high. They can be placed inside or out.  They are steel with a durable powder coating.

Some New Work

Here is a piece that I have been working most recently. It is made of 1/8th inch steel plate and is rather heavy. It is 38 inches high and 32 wide. The name of it is "4spheres of influence".

I did have a crisis when I went out to go to work then realized that I hadn't made any more numbers. Fortunately it was on the 12th of march so I managed to cut the bottom half of the two off and turn it around so that it was a sort of three. It worked well enough to get to the studio.

I started this project in November when the month names were long. Now that they are getting shorter I need to reconfigure the look of the letters on the car. "May" will be interesting...

I have been super productive in the studio. When I get my new steel sculptures back from the powder coater I will post photos.

One reason for being productive is the open artist studios coming up on the 12th and 13th of April. Last year we had big crowds come through and I sold a good number of pieces. This year I will have even more work to choose from.
